Outplacement Firms Aren’t All Alike
Posted by Julie LaCroix on Mar 21, 2013 in Career Counseling | 0 commentsOutplacement firms aren’t just for senior executives anymore. Over the next decade there will be close to ONE HUNDRED MILLION young adults employed in Corporate America. These young folks need outplacement too.
I love to work with young adults and help them find their way. I personally feel that everyone should be working daily toward either creating a new job or helping someone land one. Outplacement does just this. And, companies who offer outplacement services to their employees will have a better chance of building and maintaining a professional relationship with a former employee – either to come back into the company someday as an employee again, or as a client or customer.
Young adults in the workforce need something different than what traditional outplacement firms offer. Sure they need a great resume and job leads, but what they really need is guidance and career direction – so they can move on confidently.
So if one of your younger employees has a lot of potential, but just isn’t the right fit for your company, get them the outplacement services they need to step forward in their career and build on the training you’ve provided. Outplacement firms – that offer the right services at the right price – will share your desire to helping your employees get on the right track.
